The Business Unit Services (BUSV) provides maintenance solutions and spare parts to its customers through a global network of field service technicians and 24/7 supply chain operations. For our Barcelona office, we are currently looking for an “operational excellence controller”. In close cooperation with the business and finance teams, both locally and globally, the main purpose of this role is to drive bottom-live impact by actively identifying value opportunities and implementing process improvement initiatives to capture them.

Main Responsibilities

Through data-driven analysis and the ability to turn insights into tangible actions, drive improvement in the following areas:

• Contract management: verifying that contractual arrangements are enforced (both with customers and suppliers), checking that customers' contracts are renewed when required
• Pricing: verifying that transportation costs are invoiced to customers as per contract or general selling conditions, that commercial gestures and discounts to customers have been approved as per delegation of authority, that return processes for spare parts (including free deliveries and warranties) comply with BUSV and BU machines policies
• Order-to-cash & billing: monitor service billing backlog with subsidiaries and coordinate improvement initiatives, coordinate the efforts to reduce customers' overdue actively monitoring receivables balances and liaising with the various stakeholders
• Field service technician planning: auditing various standard costs calculations and other specific financial reporting items to ensure consistency with group policies (including standard field service technician hourly rate, field service hours, headcount reporting, fixed costs reporting...)
To be successful, the candidate will have to quickly understand business challenges and processes, gather and analyze the required data to develop relevant KPIs, develop improvement plans and execute them with a wide range of stakeholders, effectively communicate with all levels in the organization.
Additionally, the operational excellence controller will participate in the monthly management reporting cycle and support business decision making with specific ad-hoc analysis (P&L reporting and commenting, margin analysis, supply chain controlling).

• Proficiency with data and systems (Power user of Excel/Powerpoint, BI tools and ERP experience, strong ability to gather, curate and interpret large data sets)

Your education and languages capabilities

• M.S. degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics
• Fluent in English and French, Spanish an asset
