Team Description

Cisco's Customer Engagements (CE) team is part of the Sales Strategy Organization and responsible for direct customer-facing services that enable sales and increase customer's confidence to buy. This role will apply deep technical understanding to first-class customer-facing experiences across audiences, services, functions, and architectures. Our innovative team uses key selling messaging with a deep knowledge to design, develop, and deliver impactful demonstrations, videos, discussions, presentations, workshops, and customer experiences. Our proposals help close significant amounts of revenue for Cisco; our demonstration cloud (dCloud) is the largest in the industry; we have more CCIE engineers than any other organization or company in the world; and our award-winning Customer Experience Centers host more than 30,000 CXO, VP, and IT customers annually.

Position Summary

You will help us design, develop, and deliver Cisco's best outcome-based storylines to create memorable and meaningful Customer Experiences within the greater CE Team. You will collaborate within a “Team of Teams” made up of Cisco's Executives, Chief Technology Evangelist, engineers, marketers, and other key partners to research new topics, refine key message, learn new technologies, and present exciting, cutting edge technology. In a word, you will build next generation experiences and demonstrations for Cisco's Customer Experience Centers and support them in being the best briefing organization in the IT industry.

In this role, we look for critical thinkers - people who can rapidly consume domain knowledge and design and configure comprehensive functionality for delivery various demonstration platforms. We place high value on being able to contribute to a rapidly changing environment in a multitude of development related tasks.

Job Responsibilities

Create and deliver industry leading demonstration content using a variety of mediums

  • Become a technical expert in one of our primary architectures: Enterprise Networking, Datacenter, Security, Collaboration, or IoT
  • Speak and deliver content to customer, partner, press, government and other audiences in-person, virtually over Telepresence, and also in-studio for recorded VODs
  • Lead demonstration development projects for your architecture in collaboration with the CE Content Development and Engineering Teams, as well as external partners from the relevant Business Unit (BU).
  • Ensure that the demonstration business story aligns with key marketing messaging and includes highlighting product differentiating features and functionality without dwelling on those details, including the power of Cisco and cross-architecture benefit where possible.
  • Find new and innovative ways to showcase Cisco technologies.
  • Responsible for keeping existing demonstration experiences current.
  • Be aware of dCloud demonstration scenarios relevant to assigned architecture.

Other responsibilities, as assigned, including email management, meeting attendance, etc.

What do we require from you?

  • You have 3 years of customer-facing experience with a technical understanding of industry solutions such as: Datacenter, Cloud, or other Cisco Architectures, such as, Mobility, Collaboration, Enterprise Networking, Service Provider Video, Security or Internet of Things.
  • Knowledge of IP Networking and Cisco Foundation Routing, Switching and Security Solutions and Concepts.
  • CCNA required, CCNP/ CCIE preferred.
  • You are creative, have critical thinking skills, are curious, and obsessed with creating and delivering projects that truly impact our customers experience, as well as, creating business requirements and driving improvements.
  • You enjoy working in an agile environment and adopt to changes easily
