Finance Business Analyst

Job description

The FP&A team are looking for a business systems analyst, entrusted to revolutionise the financial system environment. Partnering with finance business teams and system developers to provide efficient finance business solutions developing efficiency, accuracy and next generation solutions to aid decision making.

Main responsibilities:

· Provide functional expertise on all TM1 applications used across the region.
· Partner with finance and business teams using thorough financial systems knowledge, in particular TM1, to develop efficient business solutions and support existing solutions.
· As a project manager across various finance projects work with developers in building TM1 Cubes, TI Processes, Security, Rules, Feeders and Web Reports.
· Knowledge of VBA, SQL, Data Warehouse, BI, OLAP, and dimensional modeling concepts would be a huge advantage.
· Deliver and maintain reliable and efficient Cognos TM1 solutions by managing all phases of the project at hand, including requirements gathering, modeling & design, management of developers, testing, deployment, integration, documentation and post-implementation maintenance and support to the business teams.
· Using system expertise partner with FP&A team to build efficient, reliable and automatic reporting.
· Partner with Cubewise to Upgrade Cognos TM1 system from TM1 10.2.2 to the most recent version of IBM Planning Analytics (PAW).
· Identify process improvement opportunities to drive innovation and develop solutions that accelerate timelines within the FP&A forecasting process and other reporting cycles.
· Administer user permissions and system security settings un UK TM1.
· Assist with training delivery and detailed process documentation.
· Manage ongoing user support according to priority and plan and orchestrate consistent development to TM1.
· Experience developing and modelling in TM1 utilizing the various development components available would be a huge advantage.

Essential Experience:

· TM1 experience with Planning Analytics (PAW).
· Strong finance knowledge and understanding of financial principles and management reporting. Previous experience in Finance functions (Accounting, financial planning…) is a must. The role requires a high level of technical understanding in finance systems. Using this skill, partner and understand the needs of the business, the data behind it, and how to transform this information into technical solutions working with system developers designing solutions for the business to make swift, informed decisions.
· Quick learner with a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to train and support users
· Knowledge of Data Warehouse, BI, OLAP, and dimensional modeling concepts.
· Proven ability to succeed in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
· Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or related business/technical field required.
· Strong project management experience: ability to translate business requirements into design and manage end to end project implementations (project launch, project planning, stakeholder management, execution documentation…)
