Position Description
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer for CDM DEFEND. Will be responsible for managing Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) by providing and/or enhancing CDM solutions to one or more DEFEND agencies. Will implement technical aspects of the CDM DEFEND task order deliverables to one or more agencies. Manages teams of contract support personnel at possibly multiple locations for one or more groups and agencies. Ensures compliance with program requirements, task schedules and deliverables.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Support accurate and timely documentation for SELC and other artifacts related to DEFEND program execution.
- Analyzes existing and potential content with focus on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Creating/assisting in transition to and maintaining content development and storage architecture.
- Produces wide range of documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Writes easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and guides.
- Edits your work and that of others.
- Translates complex technical and analytical concepts into clear, concise, plain English text and visual content.
- Organizes multiple, simultaneous projects and requests.
- Support project status reporting as well as risk identification and mitigation efforts.
- Works with the support team, developers, engineers, managers and SMEs to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product, documentation requirements and data analytics.

- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working for/on a federal client site.
- Knowledge and experience in quality analysis.
- Specific capability of creating network diagrams and other graphics for program deliverables.
- Understanding of project schedules.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail coupled with effective analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Self-motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.
- Ability to balance and prioritize many diverse tasks at once.
- Experience in establishing new processes.
- Produces wide range of documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Writes easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and guides.

- Translates complex technical and analytical concepts into clear, concise, plain English text and visual content.
- Organizes multiple, simultaneous projects and requests.

Desired:
- Ability to work in a matrix team environment perform functional analysis to identify cross-relationships between requirements and identify resources needed to execute these.
- Basic exposure and working knowledge of ITIL, Agile and PMBOK desired.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and images.
- Experience with Adobe suite, Visio and other graphics tools strongly preferred.
