Technical Analyst

Position Description
CGI is seeking a Technical Analyst/Configuration Manager to join our team in CGI’s Lebanon, VA office. We are looking for an experienced TA to maintain and upgrade multiple financial system environments in a cloud setting. This role will require work with our CGI team as well as with our client’s technical staff. The ideal candidate will be able to function effectively with limited oversight and moderate on-site training. He or she should understand the importance of the availability of web-based software and the significant impact of system downtime.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Stand up and maintain financial system environments in a cloud-hosted setting.
• Responsibility for monitoring the health of production and test environments.
• Ad-hoc script/data pull requests.
• Maintain CGI and third party software (Java, Tuxedo, WebLogic, etc.), including security-related patching to meet security requirements.
• Create and maintain scripted actions in Jenkins automation software.
• Troubleshoot environment issues and participate in root cause analysis as needed.
• Participate in an annual disaster recovery test, standing up environments and testing the success of the exercise.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
• 9+ years’ professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge of environment maintenance and set up.
• Experience with SQL Developer or related application.
• Basic understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures.
• Familiarity with automation tools.
