Sr Tester (Mainframe)

Position Description
CGI Federal is looking for a Tester to support one of our Health IT projects within our Health and Compliance Business Unit. This is a full time position based at our Woodlawn, MD office.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Must have an overall knowledge of SDLC process
• 6+ years of Mainframe testing experience required
• Must have experience working in an Agile environment
• Must be able to analyze and understand functional (Requirements) and technical documents (Design, ICD, Manuals etc.)
• Must be able to communicate clearly with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, testers and other team members
• Basic knowledge of SQL, JCL, Mainframe utilities is required

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Candidate will be responsible for developing test plans, test cases, test data and test summary report for various levels of testing (String, System, Limited Regression, Regression).
• Must have strong mainframe testing background
• Participate in all project review meeting (Functional Spec, Design etc.).
• Analyze functional requirements, design documents and develop appropriate test cases.
• Execute test cases and capture test evidence once the code is delivered for testing.
• Follow all project processes and testing processes consistently.
• Knowledge or experience in following Mainframe areas (TSO/ISPF, DB2, MQ Queues, FILEAID, SPUFI / QMF / BMC, ENDEVOR)
• Knowledge or experience in testing Business Intelligence (BI) Tools (MicroStrategy or COGNOS etc)
• Knowledge or experience with MySQL is a plus
