Your future duties and responsibilities

Your mission will be to support our clients, assisting the UK military to law enforcement in creating novel solutions that aid in making our country safe.

Our software / development engineers are technically focused, taking responsibility for software development/integration and understanding how software behaviour is influenced by the hardware/infrastructure that it will be installed on.

They are able to demonstrate their technical skills across a number of disciplines, and relish in the opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge.

They proactively take the lead in analysing and solving technical problems; take preventative actions as appropriate; investigate and propose solutions to technical challenges; seeking guidance for more complex issues.

Applying technical standards and best practice, taking pride in all aspects of their work.

Secure Innovation (SI) are looking for the right members to join a new team to deliver capabilities in a fast-paced, sprint-driven programme, working in a small team.

You could be asked to develop proof of concept capabilities, transition work from the lab environment into the project delivery team, reverse engineer or write reports on the applicability of a technology to a given problem domain. You will also be involved in the bidding process – responding to client requests for CGI capability statements; and outlining our approach to solving their challenge.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
We are looking candidates for this role that can exhibit skills such as knowledge of electronics & cyber warfare, Machine and Deep learning, data visualisation including AR or VR techniques or any number of other emerging technologies. A willingness to learn, a “can-do” attitude and an aptitude and passion for technology will complement specific skillsets or qualifications.

Our projects are based in a CGI office or client site but may require travel to other locations.

The successful candidate must be able to spend time working away from home, if required.
