CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Scrum Master. We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Scrum Master to join our growing team. In this role the Scrum Master will support a fast-paced development and implementation project using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver Software development Services. We are seeking a candidate who has proven leadership skills, the ability to think critically and problem-solve, and a track-record of ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met. A candidate who has experience with govt. contracting and/or mortgage industry is desired, but not required

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Responsible for facilitating the daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meeting, coaching the team in agile practices
• Help the team members clarify goals, and correctly applying the scrum process
• Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle
• Support the maintaining of the project schedule of Agency activities and regularly provide inputs to the projects Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Support the preparation of all contract deliverables for the task order, including the SDLC documentation
• Keep internal and external stakeholders well-informed on team progress and activities
• Remove blockers and impediments for team
• Implement, enforce and continually improve Agile/Scrum principles/ practices.
• Directs and/or Participates in AGILE requirements gathering sprints to represent securitization domain issues and requirements
• Prepare and present status reports for CGI and Client health check reviews
• Participate in roadmap and innovation sessions to provide input to the shared services roadmap

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
• 8-10 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
• Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 3 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
• First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
• Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor team members in Agile Methodologies
• Knowledge of Scrum, Lean Agile, XP, Kanban and other Agile development techniques
• Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels and demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with government officials and program office stakeholders
• Ensure that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance
• Proficiency in Jira, or other similar tools
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline
• Ability to act as a Scrum Master to more than one team
• Effective administrative and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn and adapt quickly

Desired Qualifications:
• Familiarity with AWS and understanding of cloud technologies.
• Prior experience as a Business Analyst is preferred
• Ideal candidates have both strong Agile Scrum delivery skills and project facilitation experience
• Experience with Scaled Agile (preferably SAFe) implementations
