Federal Financial Reporting Analyst

Position Description
- CGI Federal is seeking a Reporting Analyst for a long-term federal contract.
- The primary function of this job is providing accounting and financial support by preparing contract-level and business unit-level reporting and analysis.
- The individual will facilitate the month-end close process by posting journal entries and completing the month-end reporting package, as well as assist with collecting and compiling weekly/month/quarterly reporting for clients.
- During the other days of the month, the employee will review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and process subcontractor invoices timely, track subcontractor balances and work with contracts to ensure adequate funding and other ad hoc support requested by management.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly corporate internal BU and any other ad hoc reporting accurately and on time.
- Improve existing report/schedules or create new reports/schedules from scratch when needed.
- Update reporting instructions on existing and new reports.
- Work collaboratively with PMO team to support timely and accurate reporting for program deliverables.
- Track project task progress and assist with compiling and reporting actual vs. planned tasks.
- Track funding by PO, beginning balance, invoice paid against the PO and remaining balance and period of performance.
- Work closely with Subcontractor Administrator to ensure adequate funding on PO lines and no delay in invoice processing.
- Work closely with Program Control Analyst to ensure invoices are paid against the correct PO.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve issues to get invoices processed in a timely manner, including but not limited to linking vendor and PLCs.
- Support project review, internal and external audit requests with accurate financial data and value added financial analysis.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
- 5+ years of experience with experience with reporting and analytics for federal projects.
- Strong computer, communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of administrative support functions.
- Proficient in office products, such as Internet/Intranet, Word, Excel and PowerPoint for secretarial/word processor/spreadsheet/database/PowerPoint requirements.
- Must be able to save, retrieve, edit and present text, spreadsheets and/or charts.
- Prepares in final format, correspondence, statistical and managerial reports.
- Must be proficient in grammar, spelling and punctuation and is also required to produce printed materials accurately.
- High school diploma plus 2+ years of experience.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and intermediate knowledge of Excel, Costpoint, PowerPoint experience preferred.
