Production Support Analyst, Field Data Capture (FDC/PVR)

Position Description
Are you motivated by the opportunity to help clients by providing them with innovative solutions to complex problems? As a Support Analyst on PVR our team, you will be working on several aspects of the PVR application and directly with our clients.

This role will require communication and interaction which is not limited to trouble shooting issues and answering calls. You will be exposed to a variety of areas from testing of the application to implementation and training. The Support Analyst will also be involved with clients and the PVR team to review and assist with new development related to PVR business requirements.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Manage day to day support for our PVR/PDE clients; provide resolutions and escalate as necessary
- Analysis of complex client issues
- Monitor the PVR help line system and phone system
- Assist in the implementation, upgrade, and training of clients on new releases of the application
- Contribute in testing and Quality Assurance prior to new releases as required
- Participate in preparing Statements of Work for services as required
- Contribute to client meetings and presentations
- Participate in development meetings with PVR team
- Assigned to special projects as necessary

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Experience in relevant roles within the IS / IT domain and experience
- Knowledge of Field Data Capture areas for Gas Plants, Thermal Facilities, Fuel Gas Systems, Batteries and Wells
- Eager to learn, client focused with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Strong troubleshooting, reasoning and problem solving skills
- Strong organization skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Familiarity with database query tools and SQL skills will be an asset
- Understanding of software development an asset
- Strong Microsoft office, Excel and Word skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry upstream through downstream operations
- PVR system knowledge would be an asset

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and/or Business or Diploma in IT and/or Business with equivalent IT experience
