Master Data Management Solution Architect

Position Description
CGI is looking for a Master Data Management Solution Architect in Lafayette, LA or Nashville, TN

- As a Master Data Management Solution Architect, this team member will have a superior software development background that will facilitate solutions, architecture, design and development of technical solutions for new and existing Business Intelligence applications. Interacts with Application Directors, Enterprise Architects, Design Leads, Lead Developers, System Analysts, Business Users, Architects, Test Analysts, Project Managers and peer developers to analyze system requirements, design and develop software applications. Technical solutions and supporting deliverables will be constructed to enable healthcare payer client to accomplish their business objectives. This position is on a team that is responsible for providing technical Data Management and Business Intelligence solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• For strategies, projects and products, identify and clarify architectural options, impacts and risks of the selected design patterns, tools and overall development and deployment approach

• Develop Technical Strategies and Roadmaps related to information architecture, data and analytics

• Guide the organization in proper architecture practices

• Advice application teams on technology direction

• Identify need for research and development in new technical areas to support technical strategies

• Evangelize architecture direction and grow / mentor the overall architecture community

• Lead system architecture design and implementation of data structures and the analytical/operational reporting environment. Design and implementation of ETL process, data structure and the analytical/operational reporting environment

• Provide technical leadership for industry best practices. Includes but not limited to modeling, workflow and presentation. Reviews and provides feedback on business requirements to fully leverage technology to improve business functions.

• Defines, documents and instructs on standards and design patterns/paradigms for data processes and/or structures for development within a team.

• Provide Senior development design leadership for Scrum team within a Data Management program

• Ensure quality code and development; validate other team members code following defined patterns and standards

• Architect and design solutions outside of Informatica that allows for data to be collected (Linux scripts, Ruby, REST API, etc.)

• Anticipate customers’ analytic needs and proactively conceptualize and champion high-value Business Intelligence solutions.

• Actively support products by providing prompt responses to customer problems and inquiries. Make the customer’s experience first priority in all.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience with architecting, implementing and/or maintaining technical solutions in data management (strategy, design, governance, etc.)

• Experience in design, architecture and implementation of Data warehouses, data pipelines.

• Experience with reading software code in one or more languages such as Java, Python and SQL.

• Experience designing and deploying large scale distributed data processing systems with few technologies such as Teradata and Informatica

• Strong experience of development using Informatica, PowerCenter,

• Strong Teradata coding and utilities experience

• Proficient in writing SQL – Simple/Medium/Complex SQL’s

• Solid experience in ETL ,Data analysis, and Performance tuning - 3-5 years

• Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills

• Experience working in fast paced environment is preferred

• Must be technical and hands on capable

• Must have a Automation mindset

• Strong attention to detail
