POSITION DESCRIPTION

Critical member of Shared Services team that is migrating legacy applications from legacy to Oracle. Strong exposure to Scrum Agile techniques, Retail Supply Chain domain and ability to take up different roles working with Systems, Architecture, Cloud, Change Management team. Will require working in SCRUM Agile manner assisting the team delivering new business function to the client’s customer and internal business users. Dynamic work environment and fast paced. Position will easily for a period 1 year period but can extend upto 3 years.

Role will require Requirement Gathering, Analysis, Design, Development, Unit testing, Test Environment and Production support in Mainframe Technologies

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.

• Develop new Batch programs using Mainframe COBOL, JCL, DB2 and VSAM.

• Develop Online Programs as part of this project using Mainframe COBOL, CICS, DB2 and IMS.

• Enhance existing Mainframe applications which requires extensive functional and application knowledge in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL and IMS skill sets.

• Evaluate the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of the overall system.

• Develop batch programs to create batch files in Mainframe required for downstream applications in a recommended format.

• Create batch jobs to integrate files from Mainframe legacy applications to third party applications through file transfer protocol Interfaces.

• Perform document testing and maintenance of system corrections.

• Prepare Technical Specification (TDD) based on the functionality and business requirements.

• Create Unit test case document with screenshots of the developed online screens or file format to be referenced in JIRA tool as part of user stories.

• Plan system and development deployment as well as maintain responsibility for meeting software compliance standards.

• Prepare production Implementation plan document required for deployment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Strong Mainframe Development Experience with Mainframe COBOL, JCL/Proc, CICS, VSAM, DB2, Stored

• SAFe Agile Release / Scrum Knowledge preferred but at a minimum SAFe training and experience on multiple project Agile projects

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred, but not required: Experience working as a consultant onsite at a client

• Preferred, but not required: Retail
