Junior Information Systems Engineer

Position Description
This position is in support of Undersea Warfare Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance for a NAVSEA program office. This position will support engineering planning efforts for future Navy Command and Control Systems.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Provide systems engineering technical and project planning support for development of information systems at a NAVSEA HQ program office. This position provides direct support for Navy Chief Engineer with tracking software delivery of advanced technology developments for U.S. Navy. This position requires attention to details with the ability to review engineering specifications and system designs, program schedules, and other technical data to support the execution of command and control systems.

Principle Duties include:
- Review of technical documentation and analysis to provide project management support
- Customer site administrative and program planning support including drafting white papers, impact statements, and presentations for leadership
- Research and analysis of DOD and NAVSEA acquisition policy
- Coordination of program and meeting schedules
- Supporting customer meetings to include drafting minutes and tracking actions
- Maintain Confluence permissions, document processes, post meeting minutes
- Maintain project documentation in JIRA to include permissions, board configuration, definition of use, backlog curation
- Support build, longevity, and stress production system testing for command and control system
