Jr. Technical Business Analyst

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a JuniorTechnical Business Analyst to support a dynamic IT environment leveraging emerging and evolving technologies to advance hardware, programming languages, and software efficiencies. Specific activities include providing services to operate, maintain, and enhance information delivery products and tools to include an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and associated data marts. The ideal candidate possesses strong Agile development methodology experience and competencies in technology solutions to include some of the following with: Oracle, SAP, DataStax, Java, Angular, and/or Tableau.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Assist EDW users with issues related to new or existing universes, reports, and ad hoc queries
• Troubleshoot issues with existing EDW universes, reports, ad hoc queries, and dashboards and visualizations
• Assist users by phone, email, or site visits and respond to, track, diagnose, resolve, and report on EDW and Business Objects issues and questions reported by users
• Understand and communicate customer issues necessary to provide correct, complete, appropriate responses and resolutions
• Train and communicate business practices and procedures related to use of the EDW
• Provide on-site support on all EDW reports, and on all activities related to the EDW Web-based reports portals
• Monitor and resolve EDW/Business Objects issues from the financial management system helpdesk and from the Outlook email address OFMS established for this purpose
• Log and track all issues using the tracking system, in accordance with policies and procedures
• Assist users in interpreting EDW data, resolve software issues and resolve issues with access for users
• Schedule and monitor recurring reports (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and annually)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Information Technology or STEM related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• 1+ years of experience working on Analytics and Business Intelligence focused consulting initiatives.
• 1+ years of experience working with front end reporting and visualization tools including Business Objects, Tableau, Cognos, etc.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting techniques.
