Oracle Database Administrator w/AWS

Position Description
The CGI US Tier 1 Organization is seeking a Oracle DBA with experience implementing and maintaining Oracle databases in a multi-tenant environment. Our DBA team supports a wide range of customers and varied applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Oracle software listed below: managing database on all flavors of UNIX (SUN, AIX, LINUX, HP) & Wintel.
• Release 11g, 12c
• RAC
• Data Guard
SQL Server and MySQL a plus but not required.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Must have production and/or development database administration experience, especially with AWS.
• Experience creating, upgrading, and administrating Oracle database servers
• Ability to install, backup, restore, monitor, plan capacity, replicate, recover, tune performance, design, and troubleshoot
• Experience administrating database accounts according to department security and account management policies
• Experience in multi-node setup, clustering, and load balancing
• Experience with Oracle tools such as Grid Control , TFA, Exachk
• Experience developing scripts using SQL, automating database tasks
• Installation of software in stand-alone and replicated environments
• Backup technologies RMAN, Enterprise Backup for full and differential.
• High-availability implementations such as RAC and AWS replication and sharing.
• Task scripting, monitoring, and performance evaluation techniques.
• Diagnostic testing and in-depth troubleshooting
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work on multiple complex projects
• Must be able to pass all required CGI background checks
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
