Jr. Application/Platform Developer

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Platform Developer to support a dynamic IT environment leveraging emerging and evolving technologies to advance hardware, programming languages, and software efficiencies. Specific activities include providing services to operate, maintain, and enhance information delivery products and tools to include an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and associated data marts. The ideal candidate possesses strong Agile development methodology experience and competencies in technology solutions to include Oracle, SAP, DataStax, Java, Angular, and Tableau.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Deliver innovative solutions for our clients based on custom-built solutions, such as Java and .NET.
• Performing analysis and documentation of as-is capabilities about business processes, technology, etc..
• Assist in development and testing of new business processes, capabilities, and as appropriate their supporting technologies
• Performing application design activities (e.g. writing functional designs), portions of technology architecture and technical design activities and portions of technology build, test and deployment

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Information Technology or STEM related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• 2+ years working experience in functional and/or technical design of custom technology applications (Java, .NET, C/C++)

Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge on UML, XML and SQL
• Java, .NET, C/C++ knowledge and/or working experience
• Programming knowledge or experience
• Software Development Lifecycle knowledge
