Position Description

This role sits within the Solution Architecture team of Global Technology Operations (GTO) UK, who lead all UK infrastructure presales pursuits.

We’re looking for both junior and senior infrastructure proposal / bid writers.

This is a developmental role working within the sales team of Global Technology Operations (GTO) UK. Exposed to all the areas of GTO presales you will be developed on the job and through a formal training plan. The aim, to progress through the many job family routes, of one of the many areas within this organisation at the forefront of winning GTO opportunities.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Your area of specialism and initial assignment will be that of proposal writing in all opportunity pursuit stages, PQQ/ITT through to final written submissions and client presentation material production. You’ll have an exceptional skill and understanding of being able to use the English language in a compelling manner. Able to quickly understand a clients requirements, a bid strategies win themes, a solution/transition/technical/service brief and draft these into compelling responses.

As a junior member you’ll be a recent graduate preferably with a degree in English Literature, Journalism and/or Creative Writing. You’ll have a flare for using English language in a compelling manor and able to effectively research subject matter to support the drafting of high quality responses. You’ll have a desire to develop in the role and become an integral part of a leading writing capability.

For the more senior role we are looking for experienced infrastructure proposal / bid writers with demonstrable experience of recent work in this space. Being a subject matter expert you’ll also be able to coach and mentor more junior members providing structured development to progress the capability. You’ll be able to contribute effectively to opportunity win themes and story-boarding and deploy these themes into compelling proposal responses.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Junior roles will require a degree in English Literature, Journalism, Creative Writing or similar discipline.

Senior roles will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience in responding to all stages of infrastructure services opportunity pursuits.

For both positions you should demonstrate a desire to take up a long-term career in the role and the aptitude to input value into new initiatives.
