Full-Stack Developer

Position Description
CGI Federal is looking for a Full- Stack Software Developer to join our production team. A successful candidate must have knowledge in all stages of software development. You will join a small but rapidly growing company and will have an opportunity to work on various aspects of our web and native product developments. You will also serve as part of a larger architecture, engineering, development, and testing team, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for a web-based planning and simulation system in coordination with our commercial and DOD teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• An ability to work alongside multiple disciplines of developers and find the best solutions to complex/challenging problems
• Design overall architecture of the web application, both web and back-end applications.
• Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
• Maintain code integrity and organization.
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with three years work experience or completed Software Development Program with four years work experience
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Proficiency with an Object-Oriented Programming Language (e.g. Java, C#, Python, PHP, etc.), and OOP design patterns
• Working experience with Java, CoffeeScript, Node.js, Python.
• Working experience with designing and integrating SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of JS frameworks (e.g. Angular 2, React, etc.)
• Strong language and writing skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to obtain a clearance
• Due to government contract and/or clearance requirements, US Citizenship is required

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of experience in a Full-Stack Software Developer position with all the above required qualifications.
