Financial Analyst Opportunity- Denver Tech Center, CO

Position Description
CGI is looking for a Financial Analyst with 5 years of applicable experience as a financial/accounting analyst with an Accounting/Finance degree to join our team in DTC Denver, CO. Qualified candidates will need to possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail, and have a good understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and operational/financial accounting concepts. This role will work closely with other Finance members, Project Managers and senior members of CGI leadership. They will be actively encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge through professional development to allow for career progression within CGI.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Prepare annual budget and monthly P&L forecasts
• Assist with month-end financial accounting and reporting process
• Prepare reports and do analysis on results for sector VPs
• Perform in-depth variance analysis of monthly actuals against budget, forecast and prior years
• Identify and drive improvement areas within the overall P&L forecast
• Basic knowledge of debits and credits in relation to general ledger accounts (Revenue, Cash, Expenses, Balance Sheet Accounts)
• Perform Adhoc Analysis as directed
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 5 years of experience as a financial/accounting analyst
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• Expert in Excel
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (MS-Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Strong e-mail management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Willing to work 40-50 hour weeks with longer hours during the month-end close process
• Highly skilled in Problem Solving and the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team setting
• Must have a can do attitude and be eager to learn daily and take initiative
• Detail oriented, emphasizing accuracy and reasonableness of data
• Ability to effectively partner cross-functionally with personnel in finance and non-finance organizations
• Strong oral and written communication skills – sector VPs NOT located in Denver so must be able to clearly communicate via telephone

Desired
Experience with PSA and Oracle a plus but not required
