ETL Developer

Position Description
We are looking for a candidate to join a dynamic team with diverse technical background that focuses on delivering high quality, high-value projects using advance technology on our existing data warehousing environment. As an integral member of our delivery team, the ETL Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) data warehouse. The candidate will join a dedicated team with a culture of sharing knowledge, and goal oriented individuals.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Develop ETL processes for data warehousing, data integration and data analytics
• Designing and developing enterprise-wide ETL solutions for BI reporting
• Reviewing and analyzing data from multiple internal and external sources
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
• Defining relevant ETL standards, processes, and best practices
• Designing, developing and maintaining ETL solutions
• Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
• Effectively communicate with business and technology partners, peers and stakeholders
• Ability to deliver results under demanding timelines to real-world business problems
• Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing ETL solutions for data warehousing, data integration, data analytics or data transformation
• Proficient with SQL Server database and working knowledge of programming languages such as: Python, PERL, Java, JavaScript, C++, shell
• Hands-on experience designing and developing data solutions for reporting, transformation or business analytics
• Experience reviewing and developing object and data models, and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access
• Familiarity and experience with developing data architectures, and financial and accounting data models across multiple COTS systems such as Deltek’s Costpoint, Time and Expense, MS SharePoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

Desired• 5+ years of SQL Server development, and IBM Cognos reporting and business intelligence
• 5+ years of systems integration and ETL experience
• Hands-on experience with data and process modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, MagicDraw)
• Prior experience using financial data and with federal consulting
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify process improvement opportunities
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field
• Exceptional ability to produce results within specified time frames
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
