EDI Engineer with B2B Sterling Gateway

Position Description
Join the CGI team in WIndsor, CT as an EDI Engineer!

We need your help to deploy and maintain our client's EDI solutions. With your expertise, and alongside a high-functioning team, you will work with the customer to prioritize, manage, and deliver the work on hand.

EDI Engineering responsibilities primarily include the more technical system setup and administration of the Sterling solution and secondarily for the onboarding and data mapping for new and existing connections.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Work with EDI customers to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards.

• Designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting EDI solutions.

• Manage EDI customer implementation projects

• Work with different EDI file formats and data and set up EDI communications

• Recommend solutions and/or improvements to peers, management, and clients.

• Develops and maintain complex code utilizing structured programming techniques.

• Plans, coordinates and develops proper test environments. Develop system and system integration test data.

• Performs and coordinates system, system integration, conversion, parallel and stress tests for large size projects within and across various systems and platforms.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelors degree and 4+ years' IT/EDI experience

• Proficiency with IBM Sterling OMS

• Experience with different EDI data formats such as X12, EDIFACT, Flat Files, CSV, XML and others

• Knowledge of EDI communication protocols such as FTP, SFTP, VAN, HTTPS, AS2, etc.

• Proficiency with data mining, updating, and reporting on multiple data levels

• Experience with Agile framework for delivery

• Ideal candidate will have experience leading EDI teams and projects

• Excellent communication and organizational skills to work with cross-functional teams and departments

• Good to have - Experience with Global Mailbox
