Job Description*

The candidate will serve as the Lead Architect for Government and Health Solutions DevOps Solution Engineering roadmap & implementations across products and clients. Will be responsible for developing and leading CGI Government and Health Solutions DevOps architecture/Implementation and will address the needs of stakeholders who are engaging in the devops transformation of CGI Government and Health Solutions Products. He will have the responsibility of working across as the Architectural leader and own the technology function. Role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping/automating devops business processes to end-to-end technology solutions. The candidate must have demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business and technology decision maker discussions related to DevOps transformation, agility, business value, and end to end architecture. Provide thought leadership, patterns and practices and solution approaches for Government and Health Solutions devops solution and implementations. This candidate should have a passion for the technology which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience. The Architect applies their experience of technology solutions, advanced analysis skills and experience in principals of architecture to define appropriate industry solutions and alignment with senior stakeholders across the globe.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Job Description*

- 9 to 12 years of experience relevant DevOps experience

- Experience in Docker Containers, build and deployment in a container environment.

- Good hands-on experience in Kubernetes/Redhat Open Shift .

- Built and managed a container orchestration platform from the ground up , Experience with managing Docker Swarm

- You should have good experience in application of standard software development principles. You should be able to work as an independent team member, capable of applying judgment to plan and execute your tasks.

- You should be able to respond to technical queries / requests from team members and customers.

- You should be able to coach, guide and mentor junior members in the team.

- Ensure the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernates/Redhat Open Shift) based on open source technologies is regularly maintained and released to production without any downtime.

- Increase the effectiveness, reliability and performance of container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernates/Redhat Open Shift) by identifying and measuring key indicators, making changes to the production systems in an automated way and evaluating the results.

- Ensure that the container orchestration platform (Docker) is maintained properly by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, performance and system health.

- You are expected to work on creating/configuring containers and migrate applications to Docker/Kubernates/Redhat Open shift based platforms.

- Design and implement required failover mechanisms within the Docker ecosystems

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Docker and Kubernetes/Redhat open shift environment

- Develop and maintain automated processes, tools, and documentation in support of Docker container orchestration platform

- Must be well versed in generic administration tasks of managing Docker images, container networking and standard infrastructure maintenance tasks on Docker

- Must have knowledge of Linux kernel options such as control groups and defining application groups to restrict resources.

- Strong analytical and debugging skills

- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible

- In-depth experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines

- Exposure to Maven, Ant or Gradle for builds
