We have a great opportunity to become a member of CGI, based in Victoria, to provide leading information technology services to our clients. We are seeking a technical Business Systems Analyst who has a minimum of 10 years IT experience including 8 years of business system analysis experience in a web application development and maintenance environment, preferably for government clients.

You will work on a portfolio of Web application development projects to ensure the quality delivery of new and/or enhanced systems to our clients. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements and will develop business process flows, use cases, detailed requirements, system design specifications, and other documentation. The successful candidate is expected to have had experience in application development and one or more of the core disciplines (use case elaboration, logical application design, BPM, SOA, Data Analysis), but is expected to be able to work across all of them as required.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Collaborate with the business analysts to elicit and understand requirements
Interact with architects and technical leads to determine the possible interfaces of the software
Prepare high quality functional design specifications
Interact with the development team
Lead problem management processes including root cause analysis of production issues leading to resolution
Contribute to the advancement of enterprise capabilities in system analysis and design domains (ALM, tooling etc.)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum 8 years of Systems Analyst/Design experience or combination of Analyst and Developer experience
Experience in medium and large system development and/or maintenance projects
Experience with gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements
Experience developing user stories, use cases, data definitions and business rules
Knowledge of process modeling techniques including BPMN and UML
Experience developing work breakdown structures and estimating effort
Understanding of databases and logical data models
Excellent analytical/documentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated by experience working with clients, facilitating workshops and interacting with technical delivery team members
Excellent time management abilities and organizational skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft products including Office, Visio, SharePoint and Microsoft Project

Nice to Have:
Experience with PL/SQL including developing packages and procedures
Scrum Master, PMP, ITIL, CBAP or other certifications with professional IM / IT organizations
Experience on Agile and DevOps projects
Experience modelling business system designs in Sparx Enterprise Architect
Good working knowledge of Jira
Experience in government IM/IT environments
