Business Analyst

Position Description
CGI Federal is actively recruiting a Business Analysts with 2+ years experience to join our growing consulting practice. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working with the customer to identify requirements and business processes, developing corresponding functional design documents, collaborating with development teams to ensure that the requirements are met, conducting testing, and assisting with implementation activities. Responsibilities also include other aspects of the Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC) such as maintaining a requirement backlog, development of change requests, and managing team and client interactions.

This role requires a degree of independent analysis, so self-motivation and the ability to drive and own tasks are imperative. Candidates should have strong writing skills and should be able to communicate effectively and comfortably with all levels of CGI and client management. Top candidates for this position will work well in a collaborative environment and will be eager to learn new functional methods and subject matter. Business Analysts who are willing to make a long-term commitment to gaining a deep knowledge of federal budgeting are strongly encouraged to apply.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Requirements gathering and documentation
• Product configuration and documentation
• Test case development and execution
• Training material development and delivery
• Issue analysis and resolution
• Development of SQL scripts
• Data analysis

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Our Federal customer requires that all applicants possess US citizenship and be eligible for a SECRET security clearance. An interim Secret clearance is required to begin working onsite with our client, and a Secret clearance must be maintained throughout the project duration
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of Business Analysis experience
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent client interaction skills in support of formal requirements gathering sessions as well as informal requirements sessions (e.g., one-on-one meetings)
• Experience in requirement development for applications and interfaces
• Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate commitment to quality and client satisfaction
• Ability to work independently and conduct self-directed research
• Momentum or other ERP and/or Federal Budget formulation or execution experience is strongly desired
