PURPOSE STATEMENT:

 

To understand business requirements & processes and identify business technology and/or process opportunities, working with business &IT IDT managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budget.

 

OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Partnering

·  Support the Global Corporate IT IDT Manager - Finance, and in-function business stakeholders, to identify and shape opportunities, and working with Architecture to input into roadmaps for Finance, Treasury, Tax, Business Controls Team (BCT), and Internal Audit Corporate and Digital solutions.
·  Functional system expertise across / in specific areas related to Global Finance processes including but not limited to:
·  Finance: SAP ECC and Lcal Transactional Finance systems, Global Litigation and royalty management and invoicing system, SAP Business, Planning and Cnsolidation (BPC), Lcal and Group disclosure management platforms etc
·  Treasury: Glbal Bank Account management and Banking integration platforms, Core Treasury, Risk and Insurance solutions, Cash Management and Liquidity, Dealing platforms, market / rates data solutions, group compliance reporting (ECC, BW, etc).
·  Tax: SAP ECC, Glbal Corporate, Transfer Pricing and VAT tracking and reporting systems, Global and Regional Customs, Duty and FTA management systems, external data solutions, data discovery / extraction and analysis solutions, etc
·  BCT: Cntrols monitoring and reporting, including SAP Gvernance, Risk and Controls (GRC) mdules.
·  Internal Audit: Audit Audit management, executin and reporting solutions including TeamMate and associated data auditaudit and analysis platfrms.
·  Supporting the Corporate Business and IT IDT Agenda
·  System and process expertise to work with Global Finance functional Leadership Teams, Global Process leads, and Shared Services to shape the global solutions and execution of roadmaps for finance functions
·  System and process expertise to work with Regional Functional IT IDT and Regional Process Leads for regional / local variants for global solutions
·  Understanding and contributing to the overall Enterprise and Solution Architecture to ensure conformance to, and opportunity identification, for existing or new business processes enabled via existing platforms and future digital solutions (e.g. eTax, BlockChain)
·  Drive commercial outcomes in line with the strategic priorities proactively using technology as an enabler

 

Core BA and Project Accountabilities

Lead / contribute to:

·  Establishing the contribution that technology can make to business objectives using a range of techniques such as eliciting and documenting requirements with stakeholders, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models, preparing business cases, usability requirements analysis and usability evaluation
·  Identifying and analysing the requirements / features for new and existing solutions which will be most beneficial to the business and documenting requirements in alignment with SOx Project Delivery (PD) IT IDT General Controls domain control requirements.
·  Crporate Functions Lead: Functional IT IDT respnsibility and execution for Global Finance compliance and corporate driven projects (e.g. Finance Transformation Programmes, Currency redenomination / reporting currency changes, Corporate restructures / legal entity changes, Global tax hub changes, Global Banking and Insurance partner changes etc)
·  Crss-Functional: Functional IT IDT respnsibility for Global Finance aspects resulting from Legal, Crporate Relations, HR, Marketing r Operations driven global projects (for example Next Generation Products consolidation / extension)
·  Leading analysis and documentation of issues and requirements for Global Finance changes to existing platforms i.e. SAP ECC, Patent and IP management and Royalties billing systems, Corporate Structure and Registration Management systems, SAP BPC, Global Customs and Duty Management systems, Cash Flow Management solutions (Multi-Currency Short and Medium Term), Market Data integration, Indirect and Transactional Procurement systems (i.e. SAP SRM, Ariba, CUPA) et. Working closely with Design Authorities , Global Process Experts, Key Users, Regional BAs to shape requirements and options.
·  Overseeing implementation of solutions – checking against the initial requirements
·  Identifying and addressing issues impacting the execution of strategic / operational / project plans
·  Partnering with internal and/or external resources to drive delivery of changes to existing Corporate platforms, or for the identification, assessment, selection and deployment of new Corporate and Digital solutions.

Global Corporate Portfolio Management

Maintain the Global Corporate Portfolio by providing input to and/or assisting in:

· 
·  ensuring cmpliance with agreed best practices
·  preparing accunt plans, budget proposals, resourcing plans and project plans
·  creatin and maintenance of IT IDT strategies

 

CORE RELATIONSHIPS

·  Enterprise Architects – understand overall enterprise architecture and collaborate to ensure conformance of to the architecture
·  Solution Architects - collaborate on the selection and development of solutions
·  Solution Delivery – collaborate to ensure solutions meet the business requirements and deliver on time in full for the business
·  Project Managers – contribute to project plans and ensure deliverables are produced to time, cost & quality
·  Planning – support the development of IT IDT plans and budgets
·  Business Partners and Business Unitit  IT IDT managers – collaborate on the provision of professional BA services in line with agreed priorities of the business
·  Business units (regions, end markets) / Business Functions - work closely to develop business requirements and oversee implementation of solutions, maintaining strong relationships with the Functions and ensuring IT IDT has a “seat at the table”
·  IT IDT functional managers / Project Managers / Business reps – collaborate in the execution of planning and analysis services and delivery of required outputs
·  IT IDT Services Manager – Collaborate to ensure the support of BAU activity are running smooth and most cost effective
·  3rd Party Vendors – non-commercial supplier relationships focussed on operational / project activities

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

·  Extensive business facing experience across / in one or both areas of Finance including practical involvement in one / several areas such as:
·  Transactinal Finance, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Tax, Audit it etc
·  Shared Services managed prcesses and solutions
·  Glbal compliance driven projects
·  Due to nature of BCT, Tax and Treasury functions, extensive experience in scoping and implementing SaaS based solutions and technology, and / or work with BPaaS vendors where technology and solution if business service provider owned i.e. external tax service providers, data service providers, disclosure management, banking and insurance providers etc
·  Excellent knowledge of SAP ECC functionality and use, and strong SAP BPC knowledge
·  Experience working as a part of, and ability to shape and lead, Global projects – practical experience in projects such as SOx, Finance Transformation ,Transformation, Global ERP implementations, StraussGlobal Management, Statutory Reporting and Disclosure Management programmes, Corporate entity restructures, Banking / Service provider RFPs etc.
·  Excellent understanding of the Target Operating Model business processes across Finance functions and the associated system platforms that enable these processes
·  Shaping and leading technology enabled optimisation and user experience projects. Awareness of RPA, Mobile, user driven / self-service analytics tools, and collaboration solutions etc
·  Business-facing IT IDT experience in a global environment, preferably with a degree in an IT-related discipline
·  Ability to interpret the business IT IDT and functional strategies, understand the Group operating model, and the implications actions in one area have on other functions
·  Understanding of industry technology and digital trends and associated benefits in application to BAT’s overall business strategy

 

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE

·  Ideally practical Finance process background / qualification (i.e. CA, CFA, CIMA). Controls framework awareness.
·  Understanding and practical application of project management and System Software Development lifecycle methodologies i.e. PRINCE2, Agile etc
·  Experience and management of change adhering to the IT IDT Governance processes in BAT, including but not limited to Project Delivery, Security and Most Confidential Information Assessments, Change Control, Change Requests.
·  Understand the background, issues and implications of company and functional strategic imperatives
·  Extensive and substantial practical experience in contributing to and interpreting business process management and business metrics
·  Time to 100% productivity: 4-6 months
