Transportation Analyst (1903230) - Beachwood, OH

Where the Chemistry Happens

As a member of the Construction Chemicals Supply Chain team, this role will primarily be responsible for transactional processing and analysis of items supporting transportation and distribution activities within the function: processing of freight bills, third party service bills, rejections of bills, audits and process improvements. Secondarily, this role will be responsible for running monthly reports, maintaining KPI metrics and reports as well as Non-Conformance Management (NCM) investigations and analysis. This role will also be responsible for initiating, processing, and securing reimbursement for claims from carriers and vendors resulting from NCM’s. This person will use the knowledge gained in their analysis to continuously improve the processes embedded within this role.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

·  Timely resolution of rejected freight bills
·  Timely and accurate processing of monthly transportation and distribution bills
·  Coordinate filing and collection of reimbursements of freight claims
·  Investigate transportation and distribution NCM’s for corrective measures and reporting metrics
·  Generate monthly KPI reports
·  Work towards automating payment and NCM processing and reporting
·  Lead or actively participate in projects and meetings as required to help implement initiatives
·  Other activities supporting the transportation and distribution functions

Qualifications

·  Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Access)
·  Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems
·  Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
·  College degree or 5 years of relevant experience preferred
·  Experience in Transportation and/or 3PL activities desired
·  Team player
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Able to create and cultivate relationships across multiple levels and functional areas
·  <5% Travel
