Retail Sales Support Representative (Contract) – McAllen, TX

Where the Chemistry Happens

Support sales of Thermotek PRO Roof Coatings Products through Big-Box Retail sales channel and secure relationships and contacts with PRO Roofing Contractors, Facility Maintenance Mgrs. and Mobile-RV Home-owner Associations. Build brand awareness and product knowledge of Thermotek PRO Roof Coatings Products through local & regional Contractors customers, Retail Pro-Desk Sales Associates and local associations.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

·  3-5 years of specialty construction products sales and/or experience as an installer of specialty on Roofing Coatings products / Construction Products.

·  Bachelor of Arts/Science preferred, but not necessary provided commensurate industry related work experience.

·  Communication – both written and verbal, conflict resolution, negotiation and public speaking, basic math skills, computer skills, knowledge of construction process.

·  Understand how roofing construction products are sold into the industry through the retail channel. Channel of sales is predominately big-box retail but includes an understanding of Retail PRO-Desk Associates, PRO Roofing Contractors, Facility Maintenance Managers and RV/Mobile Home Owners.

·  Responsible to conduct an assigned number of product training sessions with Pro-Desk Associates at local retail stores & Contractors. Responsible to contact an assigned number of local roofing contractors to create awareness of product/brand availability through the local big-box retail stores. Responsible to operate in a safe and ethical manner. Responsible of drive demand through his contact to the Big-Box retail stores.

·  Business is conducted off site, at big-box retail stores, customer & contractor offices and project sites. Driving, with some overnight travel. Home office required.

·  Responsible for contractor account development and territory development through existing follow up, cold calling /prospecting, target marketing and business development meetings.
