Professional Development Program (PDP) – Environmental Engineering Class of 2020


Where the Chemistry Happens…
BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional and leadership skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

Program Summary:

APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS RECEIVING A BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING BETWEEN DECEMBER 2019 AND JULY 2020.

·  As a highly motivated rising graduate, you will participate in a 24-month cross-functional program with three, eight-month rotations in various technical areas, including: Manufacturing/Operations, Corporate Engineering, Ecology and Safety, Maintenance, and Research and Development (R&D)
·  Your ability to be mobile will be critical, as this program is comprised of three, eight-month assignments, all based in separate locations throughout the U.S.
·  Successfully engaging across the business, you will be exposed to the leadership, technical, and scientific aspects of plant engineering, while also working in areas of safety and environment to uphold our high standards
·  Upon your completion of the program, you may be offered direct placement within the organization in a variety of disciplines in engineering and production
·  Potential start dates are June and August of 2020 with a required weeklong orientation conference in New Jersey in August 2020

·  Demonstrated academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.2)

·  Leadership potential
·  Active participation in extra-curricular activities and on-campus organizations
·  Bilingual is a plus
·  Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus

Process: If selected for an interview, the process for this role may include a one-way recorded HireVue interview as well as live in-person or virtual interviews. Live interviews will consist of a one-hour interview with three BASF representatives.

Candidates receiving a full-time PDP job offer will be invited to participate in a BASF visit on October 14, 2019. Additional details will be provided to applicable candidates.
