Procurement Analyst (1904012) – Shakopee, MN

Where the Chemistry Happens We are currently seeking a Purchasing Analyst who will conduct analysis to drive improved profitability across all business lines and product lines and sales channels. This position will have a heavy focus on forecasting and purchasing but will also provide ad-hoc analysis as priorities shift. This position will drive execution and consistency of our raw material, packaging and third-party products. The Purchasing Analyst will develop new analytics and models to evaluate margin opportunities as well as develop purchasing metrics. This position is highly dependent on cross-functional collaboration with multiple areas of the organization including: Sales, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Purchasing, Marketing and Finance. The Purchasing Analyst will be quantitatively adept, analytical, and have a track record of converting raw data into actionable business insights.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

·  Leverages spend data to identify strategic sourcing opportunities and cost reductions.
·  Conducts Spend Analysis and Opportunity Assessment.
·  Assesses sourcing opportunities and develop category project plans and profiles.
·  Monitors and measures supplier performance for on time delivery, quality and cost as well as organization compliance to negotiated terms and conditions.
·  Participates in the research, development, and design of long-range strategic objectives for future operational improvements. 
·  Demonstrating your strong skills in SAP, you will be responsible for review, purchase order management, inventory management and conversion support.
·  Utilizing your strong Excel and data manipulating skills, you will create & maintain financial and business-steering reporting for management, including analysis of Key Performance Indicators
