Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a Process Engineering esource to work within the G-FTS/GW-Canada team to support theCanadian BASF sites with process safety, process engineering and project management requests.

Process Engineer (1903949)  – G-FTS/GW Canada

Formula for Success: You Will…

·      Support Sr. Process Engineers in Process Design & Detail Engineering duties, including performing process simulations, design calculations and equipment sizing.

·      Prepare engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDs.

·     Size relief devices and equipment, update PFDs and P&IDs, process equipment specifications, and final selection.

·     Process Optimization, and sizing and selection of equipment for Tenders (as required) and for awarded Projects.

·     Support reviewal of client tender documents, specifications, datasheets, and verify FEED design and calculations.

·     Support HAZOP Studies and reports, Review and consult operation and maintenance manuals and provide necessary input to other disciplines and departments.

·     Develop and issue RFQs, evaluate vendor quotations, clarifications, and conduct Technical Bid Analysis.

·     Review of vendors documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations.

·     Support and execute cost saving intitiatives for the BASF group as required

·     Visits to support site technical requests

·     Support Engineering Services Support requirements including but not limited to G-FTS/GW Canada team administration support.

Qualifications

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
 

·        Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.

·        1-3 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering in a chemical plant

·        Experience in process safety required; Familiarized with Responsible Care Audit                      requirements a plus.

·        Results-oriented with strong implementation skills.

·        Experience working in Small and Large Capital Projects as a Process/Project Engineer            support.

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·        A high level of influencing skills to achieve results without direct supervision.

·        Able to work in a diverse team environment - working closely with mechanics, operators,          engineers, management, and global teams to solve problems and address systemic issues    related to equipment reliability.

·        Basic technical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment (rotating    and fixed).

·        Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD,                                  MicroStation, ProjectWise, Power Bi, Lotus Notes, and SAP.

·        Work travel, primarily in Canada, up to 50% of the time.
