RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a PhD student to support a third party founded project with the title: "Prediction of prenatal developmental toxicity in the zebrafish model - analysis of key events on the adverse outcome pathway".

·  In this position you will use the zebrafish embryo as the central model.
·  You will establish a proof-of-concept for an alternative testing strategy of developmental toxicity.
·  The analyses linked to AOPs include innovative, advanced automatic image-based assessments of phenotypes and concentration- as well as time-dependent transcriptome and metabolome investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Master's degree in biology or a comparable discipline and interest in doing your PhD in toxicology
·  Scientific worker who has a keen interest in developing new fields of research within the framework of interdisciplinary cooperations
·  Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new problems and use your own ideas
·  A high scientific standard in the evaluation, documentation and presentation of results
·  Enjoy working in a team as well as independently
·  Good German and English language skills
