Where the Chemistry Happens…
Maintenance Mechanic (2100103) – Wyandotte, MI
Perform duties to install, maintain and repair equipment at the BASF Wyandotte Manufacturing Site. Tasks include complex process equipment installation, maintenance troubleshooting and repairs utilizing advanced skills in pipefitting, structural steel, pneumatic, hydraulic, rigging and other millwright work on rotating and fixed equipment such as process machinery, tanks/pumps/agitators, furnaces, boilers and general building & grounds maintenance. Perform basic welding and fabrication; assist other mechanics in mechanical assignments as required. Operate forklift truck, other mobile equipment, work from elevated heights, able to lift up to 50lbs, wear a full-face respirator and to be able to support the plant on the off hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
High School Diploma or GED
3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
1 year of experience performance maintenance and repair of pumps and motors
1 year of welding experience
1 year of experience reading mechanical blueprints
1 year of experience with email management (open, read, respond)
Associates degree is preferred
Certifications in welding, machine repair, machinist, or other related trade
