Where the Chemistry Happens… Maintenance Technician – East Setauket, NY (1903271)

Safely and efficiently maintains, trouble-shoots, repairs, and installs plant instrumentation, electrical, stationary and rotating equipment for all areas of the plant to improve reliability and minimize production downtime. Works with direction from supervision as necessary to perform highly accurate work. As a member of the Maintenance Team, required to interface with all departments including: Engineering (Process and Project), Operations, Logistics, and the Laboratory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·  This position is primarily responsible for taking care of the facilities related work.
·  Perform daily checks and inspection list.
·  Support of MFG, E&I Tech and Sr. Mechanic.
·  Is needed to keep the work order back log under control and to complete/close work orders in a timely/acceptable fashion.
·  Troubleshoot, repair, PM and installation of facilities equipment with the aid of the work order system.
·  Prioritize work orders, using SAP so the KPI’s stay within our goals.
·  Handles routine and emergency Work Orders following the rotation system. Participates in the on-call system for afterhours emergencies.
·  Schedules, instructs and oversees the work of outside facilities contractors and inspectors.
·  EHS responsibilities i.e. Follow the Big 5 (SWP, PTP’s…) attend all safety training, perform inspections, safety officer requirements, safety talks, schedule and follow all MOC requirements, plus any additional EHS requirements that come up throughout the year.
·  Assist with snow removal and de-icing of all plant entrances.
·  Create work orders, and pay for supplies purchase, and services.
·  Follow all SOP’s as they pertain to maintenance.
·  You will work with all phases of “Facilities Maintenance” including carpentry, basic plumbing and electrical.
·  You will install and repair plant utility piping systems, including water, steam, and compressed air in a GMP environment. Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You…

Basic qualifications:

·  High School diploma or GED.
·  3 years of maintenance experience.

Preferred qualifications:

·  Familiar with (Good manufacturing practices) GMP preferred.
·  SAP experience preferred.
