Where the Chemistry Happens…
Maintenance Technician 1 – Brighton, Colorado (1902528)

The primary function of this job is to ensure proper maintenance within the facility and to ensure timely production of high-quality products in a cost efficient, safe and environmentally responsible manner. The job requires technical and problem-solving skills. Work activities include the repair and maintenance of the facility and its equipment. Your responsibilities would also include:

·  Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and the facility in a timely and efficient manner.

·  Troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues.

·  Must be able to work alone when necessary in completing maintenance work and be able to work from written instructions.

·  Must know how to use hand tools, power tools, cutting and burning equipment, welding equipment and operate material handling equipment.

·  Complete all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

·  Keep work area clean and organized.

·  Follow all appropriate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.

·  Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure that prescribed safeguards are properly used.

·  Notify supervisor before undertaking a work activity in which you’re not adequately trained.

·  Immediately report unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor and takes immediate interim steps to protect yourself and others from serious risk.

·  Understands that Safety and Environmental responsibility is a major part of BASF’s Principles. Must report all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to appropriate manager. Responsible for the safety of self and others.

·  Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For In You…

Basic qualifications:
·  High School Diploma or GED.
·  Must have 3 years of experience in single and three (3) phase industrial electricity and industrial machine repair.
·  Must have 3 years of experience in troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
·  Must be able to read and interpret schematics and P&ID’s.
·  Must be able to read, count, lift products (100 lbs) as required, and perform general labor work.
·  Must be able to maintain legible and accurate paperwork as required.
Preferred qualifications:
·  Technical Degree or equivalent.
·  Experience using the following equipment, Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lifts.
