Maintenance Supervisor (1901810) – St. Joseph, MO

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to supervise and coordinate maintenance and engineering activities to support operations at the St. Joseph facility. In this role, you will ensure documentation is accurate and current. You will collaborate within the team to ensure that equipment is available for service, along with the required parts. You will also ensure preventative maintenance tasks are performed and all repairs are adequate. Additionally, you will source and maintain accurate inventory of all necessary spare parts, support capital project implementation, and provide adequate resources to ensure safety, quality and productivity initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your solid understanding of P&ID diagrams and related process control techniques. Also, you will be able to share any experience you may have in process equipment PLC, electrical and/or instrumentation. Working knowledge of 5S and lean principles, as well as SAP, are considered assets in this role.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

· Leveraging your education in Engineering, Electronics, HVAC or a skilled trade combined with your experience/knowledge in manufacturing production equipment operation, repair and maintenance, you will conduct self-directed maintenance, calibration, and other instrumentation activities.

· Your previous experience in the supervision of contractors or direct report employees, along with your strong written and verbal communication skills, will be essential as you manage and supervise contractors for maintenance and capital project implementation.

· Demonstrating your knowledge in basic computer use, spreadsheets, email, preventative maintenance software, and process controls, you will provide capital project management support.

· Utilizing your strong problem-solving skills and high degree of mechanical aptitude, you will perform front-line maintenance troubleshooting.

· Your unwavering commitment to workplace safety will be evident as you support the EHS team onsite.

· Your strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail will aid you as you support a safe and impressive operations facility.
