Maintenance Supervisor (1903264) – Kankakee, IL

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are searching for a professional like you for developing, communicating and maintaining a workable multi‐craft schedule to balance production priorities and maintenance resources within the Kankakee Site. You will also ensure the effective deployment of all crafts, equipment, and outside resources required to complete a job. You will also be responsible the supervision of the site’s maintenance technician (7) and also a team of up to 30 outside contractors. This position supports the safe quality, and cost-effective execution of maintenance work.

Your unwavering commitment to workplace safety will be evident as you ensure the application of all safety rules in scheduling maintenance activities through understanding the job plans and scheduling appropriate safety tasks such as hole watch, fire watch, rescue team, scaffolding needs, etc.Your MS Excel knowledge and ability to work in a CMMS software package (SAP Plant Maintenance Module preferred) will be essential as you develop a detailed weekly schedule for all maintenance crafts, including support crafts. This is performed utilizing an existing Excel Scheduling Work Book. Based on historical trends and forecasts, including shutdowns, outages, and turnarounds, you will provide input into staffing changes that may be necessary.Demonstrating your experience in a maintenance department function within the Chemical, Petrochemical or Refinery industry, you will ensure that the maintenance planning and scheduling work processes are being followed including notification, prioritization, planning, scheduling, and feedback.Leveraging your prior education and work experience in a petrochemical maintenance/operations environment, you will provide input into identifying and developing optimized plans for standard task lists.Using your continuous improvement experience, you will identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance the overall maintenance planning and scheduling work process and improve cost effectiveness and efficiency and ensure consistent use of best practices within maintenance planning and scheduling. Your superior communication skills will serve you well as you provide communication on the status of maintenance activities to appropriate stakeholders via reports, and oral and written communications. You will also use these skills to facilitate weekly scheduling with Production and Maintenance for resource balancing to ensure job schedules meet the timing requirements of production.
