Where the Chemistry Happens…
Logistics Operator I – Brighton, CO (1903032)

Responsible for timely and accurate recording of transactions that impact shipping, receiving and inventory processes or records. Prepares and loads (and unloads) finished goods for delivery to customers and/or inter-company transfers. Prepares shipping and receiving documentation and performs additional miscellaneous clerical/administrative duties to ensure efficient warehouse operations and timely, quality driven, delivery of product to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety - Personally contribute to a safe work environment.

Process all transactions for incoming, outgoing and transferred materials/products.

Responsible for offloading chemical tankers and rail cars.

Will facilitate offloads during all seasons/ weather.

Load outbound and unload inbound products.

Must be capable of driving, safely operating and be certified to drive a forklift.

Responsible for preparing customer sales orders for shipping per company policy.

Performs other duties as assigned. Follow all appropriate Environmental Protection, Safety, Health and Quality (ESHQ) policies.

Wears prescribed Personal Protective equipment and ensures that prescribed safeguards are properly used.

Notifies his/her supervisor before undertaking a work activity in which he/she is not adequately trained.

Immediately reports unsafe acts or conditions to his/her supervisor and takes immediate interim steps to protect himself/herself and others from serious risk.

Understands that Safety and Environmental responsibility is a major part of BASF's Vision and Guiding Principles.

Must report all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to appropriate managers or directors.

Responsible for the safety of themselves and others.

Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and other ISO regulations, procedures and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities.

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Strong math skills, strong customer service skillset will be used.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…


Basic qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.

1 year of warehouse experience required.

At least 1 year of forklift experience required.

Preferred qualifications:
Familiarity with SAP is strongly preferred.
