What you can expect

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that both liquid and peat-based Rhizobia products are correctly packed and labelled as per country specific requirements based on the production plan. Ensure that all documentation is accurately completed ensuring full batch traceability of product and reconciliation of packaging used. Manage leased contractors on a seasonal basis to ensure above requirements are fulfilled. Core responsibilities will include the following:

 

·  Operate all sealing, printing and boxing equipment correctly in order to pack peat-based Rhizobia products
·  Ensure that the correct quantities, batches and pack-sizes are packed according to the production plan
·  Ensure that the correct country specific labelling is used and that the final packed product is free of any physical defects
·  Control all activities occurring within the packing area, including the activities of other employees/ leased contractors assigned to assist
·  Responsible for ensuring documentation is correctly filled and complete to ensure full batch traceability of product
·  Assist in other areas of production according to operational requirements, as directed by the Inoculants Team Leader or Production Manager
·  Ensure that the Packing Process area is always kept clean and tidy and that all tools and materials are properly packed away after use
·  Ensure that all equipment are maintained to the Engineering standards set on site
·  Fill batch protocols completely and accurately and to pass on documentation to the Inoculants Team Leader promptly
·  Communicate production progress and escalate problems to the Inoculants Team Leader or Production Manager
·  Ensure that all activities in the Inoculants Packing area are executed in compliance with internal and external regulations as well as internal controls, policies and procedures
·  Comply with EHS procedures and practices of the Durban site

 

What we expect

 

·  NQF 6 in Industrial Engineering or similar
·  Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar industry
