The European Site & Verbund Management is continuously developing BASF's large European sites, thereby ensuring their competitiveness: We manage the perfect integration of infrastructure, operating services and logistics with production at each site. This ensures the basic supply of the business units, which can subsequently perform successfully on the market. In addition, we advise the companies in all respects relating to environmental protection, occupational and plant safety and regulatory approval.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Process Analytical Technology center (PAT) supports the production at the site with all PAT tasks. The spectrum of our services includes consultation, engineering as well as the maintenance of PAT installations for the entire site, covering supply, production and disposal.

·  You provide engineering services in the field of PAT and develop strategies for technical systems taking regulations into account, from the idea to the implementation into the production process.
·  In addition, you work on the commissioning of PAT installations and coordinate activities towards high quality technical implementations.
·  Furthermore, you are in constant exchance with our analytics department, the team for process optimization as well as other units at our site.
·  Moreover, you represent the center management and you are involved in the PAT community of BASF as well as in external committees.
·  You drive the digital transformation of the site with enthusiasm and significantly contribute to achieve process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics or related fields of expertise
·  Experience in the planning and implementation of Process Analytical Technologies
·  Knowledge in the fields of measurement technology for chemical processes and analytical methods, ideally also for SIL as well as pressure equipment and piping technology
·  Strong communication skills in German and English are essential
