The Global Engineering Services division is responsible for the worldwide implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the divisions with expert services such as automation, process and mechanical engineering throughout the entire life cycle of the plants. In this way, we drive innovation in all areas of the chemical industry - we turn laboratory developments into world-scale production plants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Process Control Engineering - Field Equipment unit supports our production and research teams with maintenance and engineering of PCE field equipment. Our services range from repairs, service/maintenance and inspection to consulting and procurement.

·  You will be responsible for verification and validation of PCE safety Equipment.
·  In this role, you will provide advice and support projects on topics such as safety across the entire lifecycle.
·  You will also perform reliability analyses and measurement error calculations such as PFD calculations.
·  Moreover you will conduct international training sessions for planning, operation and service/maintenance of PCE safety equipment.
·  Last but not least, you will participate in developing and updating internal rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  You successfully completed your degree in automation engineering or process engineering.
·  Furthermore, you also have at least three years of professional experience in planning, commissioning or service/maintenance of PCE safety equipment.
·  You have experience in project management and excellent knowledge of the relevant rules and regulations, such as IEC 61508, IEC 61511, EN 50156 and TRD, as well as functional safety management.
·  In addition, you will contribute your highly developed teamwork skills, determination and orientation toward goals, personal initiative, focus on performance and ability to persuade others as part of the team.
·  Excellent English language skills complete your profile.
