Engineer for Maintenance Management (m/f/d)

Job description

The European Site & Verbund Management is continuously developing BASF's large European sites, thereby ensuring their competitiveness: We manage the perfect integration of infrastructure, operating services and logistics with production at each site. This ensures the basic supply of the business units, which can subsequently perform successfully on the market. In addition, we advise the companies in all respects relating to environmental protection, occupational and plant safety and regulatory approval.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The technical service units at the site ensure the availability of our production and infrastructure systems and develop customer-specific solutions to optimize and innovate our plants.

·  In the role of the team leader (m/f/d) for one of our five operational maintenance teams, you will manage our engineers and master craftspeople and supervise staff assignments for your approximately 30 employees.
·  Managerial duties will be a major part of your overall working hours. hese include personnel responsibility, managing the use of resources, employee and team development and holding employee performance reviews.
·  In cross-unit cooperation with others, you will undertake challenging tasks for ongoing and new production plants and will develop maintenance concepts for their entire life cycle.
·  In addition, you will act as the direct point of contact for our internal customers from the production team. You will be responsible for maintenance and for the technical further development of the plants in the area for which you are responsible.
·  In the process, you will perform maintenance measures on budget, on time, and in line with safety and quality requirements and will provide support for investment projects with your job-specific knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  You have a Master's degree or diploma in process, mechanical, automation or electrical engineering.
·  Furthermore, you have several years of professional experience in engineering or maintenance and have already gained management experience.
·  In addition, you have solid knowledge and skills related to modern maintenance methods and can apply these in an operational environment.
·  You are able to communicate your technical knowledge to others in an understandable way in both German and English, and your actions are always geared toward entrepreneurial goals.
