What you can expect

Within our central Compliance Office, you will support the European Data Protection Organization and the BASF's Global Compliance Program.

·  You will provide advice and guidance on compliance and data protection matters to corporate functions and businesses.
·  You will be the contact person for the regional and country compliance as well as data protection functions to provide advice and guidance in data protection and compliance matters.
·  As part of the EU Data Protection Office you will be responsible for the further development of our data protection management system.
·  You will be involved in initiatives and projects on behalf of the Chief Compliance Officer of the BASF Group and the Chief Data Protection Officer Europe.
·  You will conduct, process and assess Data Protection Impact Assessments in close collaboration with all relevant departments.
·  Furthermore, you will conduct compliance and data protection trainings and support the further development of the respective training programs.
·  You will oversee and monitor developments of data protection regulations and assess BASF's policies and procedures accordingly.

What we expect

·  You hold an law degree and have above-average knowledge of data protection law as well as a passion for data protection. Professional expertise in this environment would be an advantage.
·  You are capable of pragmatic approaches and able to find business-oriented solutions.
·  Experience in establishing and conducting data protection management system is a plus as well as experience as data protection officer.
·  You have superior interpersonal and team-working skills and like to interact and cooperate in interdisciplinary groups.
·  You have excellent communication and social skills and are able to easily build contacts and networks as well as trustful relationships.
·  You take pleasure in educating and cooperating with persons from different functions and businesses.
·  You have good proficiency in English and German language.
