What you can expect

We want to speed up the digital transformation of EC in which one focus are our global research , development and customer laboratories. On our way to become a data-driven organization and make our data easier accessible and reusable, you will turn data into purified insights and be a dynamic part of EC's global Digital Transformation Team.

·  As data engineer you will build and optimize the systems that allow our data scientist/analysts to perform their work.
·  You will ensure that any data is properly received, transformed, stored and made available.
·  Besides exploring and identifying data assets in user stories you will concept semantic data healing or ETL-processes (Extract, Transform, Load) as well as a F.A.I.R. data architecture (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable).
·  You will follow up and document data discovery in our data catalog.

What we expect

·  You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, engineering or similar fields and ideally two years working experience in data modelling.
·  Besides being familiar with agile methods you have a technical background with knowledge of the ETL and staging of MS Azure Cloud.
·  You have very good expertise with statistics tools, e. g. Matlab, SAS, relational databases, e. g. Oracle, SAP R/3 or MS SQL, scripting tools , e.g. Python, Pearl or JavaScript, Query tools (SQL or noSQL) and Business Intelligence tools, e. g. Power BI.
·  You are fluent in German and English, have sharp analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent team spirit.
