Consumer Business Development

What you can expect

 

The primary purpose of this role is to do business development for the Consumer market in South Africa, with a focus on the Footwear industry. Duties will include the following:

·  Map the market potential and develop a route to market strategy.
·  Leverage relationships with industry bodies and government departments for promoting PM’s product and service offering.
·  Manage customer portfolio, commercial and technical negotiations, tender participation.
·  Ensure continued pursuit of market intelligence and research for identifying market trends and competitor activities in the South African market.
·  Identify and implement improvements on business processes.
·  Assume full responsibility for all business aspects of assigned responsibility.
·  Developing of business plans and execution strategies for targeted opportunities .
·  Developing and managing a pipeline of projects identified for future sales.
·  Accurate and on-time reporting (e.g., monthly report, visit reports, forecasts, market data, opportunity pipeline, etc.)
·  Demonstrate the ability to identify new business opportunities for business growth

 

What we expect

 

·  Tertiary qualification in Sales & Marketing
·  At least 5 years- experience in the retail sector
·  Understanding of the footwear and textile industry
·  Strong communication skills in English
·  Driver’s Licence (Obligatory) and own Transportation
·  MS Office and MS PowerPoint
