Aquatic Ecotoxicologist (m/f/d)

RESPONSIBILITIES

In our Global Ecotoxicology unit, you will work in a multidisciplinary team and supervise studies with a focus on aquatic organisms from an ecological and ecotoxicological point of view.

·  You will direct and evaluate ecotoxicological studies in aquatic ecosystems following international guidelines and up-to-date scientific standards.
·  Based on the results, you will generate risk assessments for BASF products (crop protection products and biocides).
·  In addition, you will be involved in the development of innovative solutions, assume project responsibility and communicate results to national and international governmental authorities as well as to the scientific community.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Degree in biology (ecotoxicology, limnology or ecology) or toxicology or in a related field, preferably with PhD
·  Ideally, experience in aquatic ecotoxicology and some background on assessing the effects of endocrine disrupting compounds
·  Thorough understanding of ecological and ecotoxicological processes and steering of global projects
·  Fluent English language skills and experience with standard IT solutions
·  Beyond this, a team player with highly developed presentation skills and excellent communication ability
