Job description



AXA's Emerging Customers team leads AXA's inclusive insurance strategy, which aims at protecting low-to-middle income populations in Asia, Africa and Latin America to help them become the middle class of tomorrow in their country. As an illustration, we develop small ticket (monthly premium of 1-5 euros or sometimes even less) life or health insurance products for farmers, small shopkeepers, migrant workers, etc.

This initiative is a defined business unit with commercial objectives as well as a social impact mission. As of end-2018, AXA protected over 9.4 million emerging customers in 10 countries.

More concretely, the Emerging Customers team helps local AXA entities design and roll out of their inclusive insurance programs through partnership building (with microfinance companies, mobile network operators, mobile wallets…), customer research, new product development, IT solutions design, operations optimization, impact assessment, etc.

Clients-centricity is not just a buzz word with regards to AXA Emerging Customers: we apply human-centered design methodologies on the ground to tailor new products and services to customer needs leverage technology.

Primary mission :

The Emerging Customers team is looking for a profile with strong interest in the financial inclusion space willing to perform a 6 months internship as a project management support. The primary mission will be to support the team on project management and deployment of technical solution to operate inclusive insurance programs, as well as enhance processes and operations with local teams as new partnerships materialize.

Position requirements :

Student with convention de stage on final Masters year or gap year

·  Professional and technical skills
· 
Structured thinking, analytical skills and strong attention to details

· 
Project management mindset, ability to document and track project progress;

· 
Capacity to consolidate and analyze information to translate into actionable plan;

· 
Structures communications (verbal and written) to suit situation and audience

· 
Autonomy, ability to search for information, not afraid to question when needed;

· 
English language is mandatory; French language skills optional;

· 
Experience in / interest for developing country problematics. Knowledge of financial inclusion and/or health inclusion is a strong plus;

· 
MS Office: Excel, Power Point and Word – advanced level (mandatory).
