One of our tailored solutions is a private cloud IaaS solution.

The Private IaaS offers different Disaster Recovery service classes for the VMs hosted on the platform: Platinum, Gold and Bronze. Disaster Recovery as a Service provides the client with the possibility to recover VMs in case of a disaster, according to the class they belong to. This service comprehends therefore the organization of regular tests to prove the Recovery capability. It is to be operated in a global way, meaning one team serving all Private IaaS clients worldwide.

The technical solution relies on IBM, who is to perform most actions needed to execute a Disaster Recovery.

Part of the Private IaaS Operations team, the Disaster Recovery Service Owner is the end-to-end responsible for the DR capability of the private Iaas managed services delivered by the Supplier IBM

As such, he/she …
· Is accountable for the operational performance of the Disaster Recovery services for Private Iaas
· Ensures that the IT Disaster Recovery Plans for Private Iaas and associated procedures and supporting documentation are maintained, tested and improved over time
· Will act as DR Private Iaas subject matter expert towards IBM Private Iaas DR Managed Service teams
· Will act as the bridge between IBM DR Managed Services and Regional-Central DR organization
· Will track the evolution of the Private Iaas DR Solution as part of the IBM product and understands its impact from a business perspective
· Animating and working close together with the global DR Community (Regional – Central)
· Monitors the IBM performance on the activities in scope of the DR Managed Services
· Coordinates with Capacity Management to ensure the disaster recovery related capacity needs are taken into account
· Is accountable for the organization of regular Disaster Recovery tests
· Leads the regular Disaster Recovery governance between IBM & ATS
· Defines the test planning with the local ATS entities
· Defines the scope of DR tests
· Mobilizes the necessary resources, both in regions and IBM
· Manages the stakeholders communication
· Ensures that all KPI SLA regarding the IBM DR Managed services are met , as agreed in the contract
· Launches all required actions to ensure that any deviation is being remediated by improvement plans and actions

Owns the Disaster Recovery technical solution end-to-end:
· Represents the Private IaaS Operations Team in front of IBM for technical aspects on Disaster Recovery
· Is considered as SPOC for all Disaster Recovery related topics within the Private IaaS organization
· Is part of the operational governance with IBM and regions when it comes to technical and operational aspects
· Supports Management in providing them with adequate technical information to make the right operational decisions, without compromising operations and security
· Participates to the project currently on-going to improve the Disaster Recovery technical solution, with the objective to make it safer & faster
Owns the Business Continuity Plan & Crisis Management framework for Private IaaS
· Keeps the documentation up-to-date
· Organizes the necessary trainings
· Participates to the Crisis Management team when required
· Owns the Disaster Recovery (IT Continuity) process for Private IaaS
· Leads the continuous improvement approach (optimize, rationalize, standardize)

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Proven demonstrable experience in a BC&DR role.
·  Proven experience in service management (ITIL)
·  Proven experience using Agile methodology is a plus
·  Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery operations
·  Strong multi disciplinarian technical background and knowledge in different domains like security, network, multi-tiered infrastructure, databases, integration and application platforms
·  Strong basis and understanding of the architectural principles of cloud-based platforms that include IaaS components
·  Minimum 3 years of experience in server virtualization technologies, experience with private or public cloud is an advantage
·  Understanding of all cloud offerings in the market and ability to discuss cloud architectures
·  Security certification is a plus (CISSP and CCSP)
·  Good aptitude in relationship management with large amount of stakeholders
·  Able to manage international teams and multi-cultural environment
·  Work with minimal direct guidance, self-motivated and proactive
·  Excellent and clear communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
·  Strong problem-solving skills

·  Ability to travel as needed, as you will on regular basis have to travel between entities to meet experts of other regions
