Trader – Global Trading – Singapore

The Role

The Trader role is an integral part of a focused, value-added Global Trading team. The role has specific responsibility for executing in Asian markets including local currency rates, hard currency credits and foreign exchange.

Responsibilities

•            Manage and execute trades efficiently in Asian fixed income markets for the Emerging Markets, Asian and Global portfolios

•            Add value to the global investment teams by providing market intelligence and contributing ideas/views in Asia        

•            Collaborate closely with traders across locations for a seamless global trading model

•            Develop and manage external relationships with counterparties and liquidity providers

•            Assist in developing and adopt increasingly sophisticated trading processes and tools

Requirements

•            Good knowledge of fixed income markets with minimum 3 years of relevant trading experience

•            Understanding of market structure and liquidity in Asian credits and/or rates. Familiarity with rates derivatives would be a plus.

•            Demonstrated ability to trade in an accurate and effective manner. Strong interest in fixed income markets and desire to positively contribute to trading and investment outcomes.

• Effective communication skills and a strong team player. Ability to collaborate closely with teams across locations, as well as manage external relationships.
• Proactive attitude with keenness to continuously learn and develop in the role
