Position Overview

We are currently in need to a Qlik Developer to join our Property Claims team to provide the business with digitally enabled self-serve data to integrate operational and financial metrics. Leading to improved customers outcome and business performance.

Accountabilities

• Work on enterprise level, business critical reporting solutions
• Design, develop and test Qlik Sense scripts to import data from SQL Server Data Warehouse and produce Qlik Sense dashboards/reports to meet customer requirements.
• As a customer focused role, incumbent will work with a team of professionals ensuring development is to the highest standard. You will work right from the point of gathering requirements through to delivery.
• You will need to have strong stakeholder management and communication skills to liaise with the business and understand requirements. You will be integrating data from various sources with various formats.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Post secondary education in Data Science, Mathematics desirable
• Strong hands-on SQL development skills including large dataset experience
• Microsoft SQL Server 2012
• Data Schema design techniques
• Qlik Sense scripting and data modelling
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders across the business
• Ability to gather requirements, and translate into effective reporting
• Excellent presentation skills and proven ability to produce reports to professional, customer-facing standards 
• Experience training designers and users, of all abilities, to design and consume Qlik Sense reporting (desirable)
• Adapt to learning styles and needs of the data consumers
• Skilled in Qlik development, data cleansing and Qlik App development. Or at least has the propensity to learn.
• A good mix of technical, business and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Drive for continual self-improvement and learning
