Our Firewall Management Team is growing!

We have an opportunity for an AlgoSec Administrator to join us. This position is involved directly in every aspect of the team’s global remit of high-quality firewall service and will support all aspects relating to AlgoSec.

The Firewall Management Team has given Aviva a much-improved view of its network and has allowed Aviva to deliver projects faster and improve our security posture.

The team work very closely with the Proxy Management Team and the Network Service Owners. You will work with people from all levels of Aviva and key suppliers to ensure the right outcomes for Aviva and its customers in these key front-line services. Some of the services covered are UK only; others are global in scope.

You can be based in any of the following locations: Bristol, London, Sheffield, York or Norwich. Some travel to other sites will be required.

The role involves:

·  Reviewing, planning and implementing hotfixes, patches and upgrades
·  Leading all aspects of firewall onboarding, both new and replacements along with user creations, removals & amendments
·  Certificate and software management of AlgoSec – to be maintained and managed accordingly
·  Advancing potential security issues such as out of tolerance rules for assessment by a CISO (Chief Information Security Office) team
·  Working independently with our managed service providers and other 3rd parties
·  Assessing firewall changes being requested through BAU and projects, using the AlgoSec firewall management platform to model those changes
·  Ensuring the availability of the AlgoSec platform and its related collectors is consistent for the global user base
·  Providing technical advisory advice to all markets where necessary – project involvement may also be required
·  Working closely with Global teams & markets ensuring excellent stakeholder management

Skills & experience we wish to see:

·  Must have relevant experiences and/or qualifications with AlgoSec (alternatives considered, SkyBox, FireMon, Tufin, etc)
·  Experience in Linux/UNIX environment and programming in Perl, Shell scripts
·  Experience in working in a geographically diverse team
·  Familiar with business partners at all levels across global enterprise organisation and managing their expectations
·  Customer focused with superb communication skills
·  Knowledge of managing firewalls and security devices across a wider range of manufacturers
·  Manufactures Certification in FortiGate, Palo Alto, Checkpoint or Cisco desirable

·  A salary between £31,000-£50,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications
